Princess and the Pea Narratives
Once upon a time a lonely Prince had wanted a Princess for
ages, but it had to be a real Princess.
One day the Prince set off to find the perfect Princess to marry. But
everywhere he looked he couldn’t find one. That night it was bad weather with
pouring rain and thunder and lightning. Then there was a noisy ‘knock! Knock!’
on the door. “Please come, I need shelter” said the voice. Hurrying to the
door, the King was hot “come here son” said the King, still running. When he
finally reached the door the King saw that when he opened the door he saw a
beautiful Princess standing at the door. “Come my dear. Lady, come!”
“Why are you in England my dear lady?” asked the King. You
have travelled far in this storm! “Yes, indeed” exclaimed the Princess tiredly.
“Could I stay the night?” Just then the Queen came and saw the Princess, “what
a shame you are soaked from the tips of your hair to the tips of your toes”
exclaimed the Queen. “You must stay dear. Now, your bed”. Then the Queen got up
and walked towards a spare and empty bedroom.
The Queen then got her servants to take all of the sheets
and duvets off the bed and then the Queen put a tiny-winy pea underneath. After
that, the Queen got her servants to put twenty fat mattresses on top of the pea
and then another twenty duvets on top of the twenty mattresses. A ladder was
then placed alongside them. At the top, the servants put a pillow for the Princess
to put her head on so it was very comfortable for her. “I’m ready for you to
come and go to bed”.
When the Princess was in bed, the Queen said to her son
“that Princess is hopefully a true one dear”. “I hope so too” said Prince
William. Queen Elizabeth knew that her son wasn’t sure about Princess Charlotte
being a true Princess. King Oboron could see that too, so they hoped for good
luck.
In the morning, the King and Queen went to wake up the
Prince so they could go and see the Princess. “Wake up son” said the King and
Queen together, we need to go and see the Princess Charlotte.” Do I go with
you, mum and dad?” asked Prince William. “Yes of course, anyway it is you who
wants a real Princess!” declared the Queen. Together the group of three set off
to the Princesses’’ bedroom.
When they got to Princess Charlotte’s bedroom, the Princess
looked terribly tired. “How was your night-time sleep my dear?” asked the
Queen. “Ter-ri-ble!, cried the Princess with her hand over her eyes. “My poor,
poor little dear. Come downstairs and lets have breakfast” said the Queen.
“Yes, please” exclaimed Princess Charlotte wearily.
In the end, it isn’t very hard to guess. Prince William got
married to the real Princess, and, as for the pea, it was on display in the
royal museum. And everyone lived happily ever after.

Once upon a time there was a loving but sad prince. The
Prince searched and searched the whole world to find himself a real princess.
One terrible, extremely stormy night there came a violent knock on the castle
door. The King opened the door. “Help” cried the little voice, “Help”. It came
again. “I’m a real princess!” came the little voice again. “Let her in”
screamed the bossy Queen. So the King let the unknown girl in. “I’ll sort her
bed” cried the maid. When the maid had made the Princesses bed and the Princess
had got in the bed, “ohh, who put a gum ball on the astonishing ground?”
squealed the Princess Charlotte. Queen Elizabeth ran in and shouted to Prince
George to come. In the morning the King Charles, Queen Elizabeth and Prince
George and Princess Charlotte sent invitations to every person they knew. On
the 4th of May the castle garden was beautiful because George and
Charlotte were getting married. Don, don, don, don!!!! (Sound effects. Say quickly. Ed)
“George, will you take the Princess Charlotte to be your
royal wife?” announced Harry the Announcer. “Yes” shouted the Prince George. So
they got married.

thump, thump!! He went all over the world is his big huge limo. Finally he reached England. He hopped out of his limo and knocked on a
door. The voice inside said, “Hello, who is it?” “It’s Prince Charm, who are you?” “I am
Princess Bubble Gum.” “Come with me my dear,” said the prince. “I shall take
you to my castle in my huge limo.” So the prince took the girl back to his
castle. “Mother, mother, quickly make
the bed,” said the prince. First I must
put a little bouncy ball at the bottom then layer 20 mattresses on top,” said
the queen. She climbed the ladder to her bed.
She slept very well. In the
morning the queen asked how she slept.
She replied, “Very amazing!!” She was not a real princess. Then another stormy night there was a violent
knock on the door. The bossy queen said,
“Let her in.” She had dark, dark hair and a tall body. “She’s great,” said the prince. “Go make the
bed,” he said to the queen. Now the
queen put a little bouncy ball on the bed then 20 quilts and a pillow for her
head to rest on. “The bed is ready,” yelled the queen. “Ow, something is digging in real bad. I
can’t sleep in this. It is too painful,”
said the girl. In the morning the queen
said, “How did you sleep?” The girl said, “Awful.” The prince said to the queen, “She is a real
princess.” So now the prince found a real princess. They got married and the bouncy ball went in
the middle of the museum. That is the

So he went back home lonely. One day a there was horrible weather and there was
lightning and storms and big heavy rain. There was a princess knocking on the

real princess, please let me in, because I have lost my way and I all soaked”.
So the king and the queen opened the door and the queen said to the prince “you
have to have your manners, okay. The prince said, “Yes” to the queen. When the
queen said to the prince there was a girl outside the prince was shocked, you
know that the girl was soaked, that the water dropped to her body, then it
dropped to her feet and then to the ground. But the prince didn’t know if the
girl was a real princess. Then the prince went to find his father “how would we
find out if the girl is a real princess?”. The king said, “Ask your mother”.
The prince went to find his mother and his mother said, “I have got an idea, I
can put 12 mattresses and then put a little bit of pea”. So that night the
princess couldn’t sleep. She rolled and rolled but she still couldn’t get to
sleep. The next morning the queen said to the girl, “did you sleep well?”
“No!!!” cried the girl. “I didn’t sleep well, there was something digging deep.
It was so so so so hard that I didn’t get to close my eyes”. When they finished
breakfast the queen told the prince that the girl felt the pea. The prince was
shocked because only princesses can feel that thing. After that the prince and
princess got married and their child’s name started with P. When their children
get older their father will tell them that story. So the pea was at the museum
if no one steels it.

faraway in a land called Oclobitris was a prince called Bobby and he wanted a
pretty princess. So he sent out letters in the newspaper saying, “All the
princesses come to the manor castle at three o’clock Friday 15th
May, if you are single. Friday had come but……when he opened the door he didn’t
see what he expected, there wasn’t just 5 princesses, there were 30 of them.
One said,“What are you doing here?” Prince Bobby said, “I need to get
married!!”, but none of them were good enough. One stormy night there was a
BOOM, BOOM, BOOM on the castle doors. The king opened the doors, but what a

in the afternoon. During the storm that afternoon a droopy girl came to the
castle and ponded on the door. The Prince hurried to the castle door and opened
it. The queen came with him. The girl looked like a Princess but the Prince
could not be sure. The queen scurried to the bedroom where Princess Anna was
going to sleep. She ripped the bedclothes off the bed. She was in a hurry
because Princess Anna would be cold and the queen would have to make her bath
after dinner. She put a little pea on the first mattress then put 20 other
mattresses on top. After dinner the queen showed the Princess to her room. In
the morning the queen asked the Princess anxiously how she slept. Anna said, “OK
but there was a very painful lump in my bed!!” That was when the Prince knew
