Jack and the Door Handle  by Ajay

Have you ever seen a magic door handle? One morning Jack was playing with their only sheep. They were very poor because the King and Queen stole all the gold. He said to the sheep, “You wait here. I’ll go get some food for you and I.” He yelled to his mother, “Can you make some lunch?” as he was sprinting as fast as a blink of an eye. Finally he reached in the door. “Jack I’m afraid there is no food in the pantry,” said Jack’s mother. “Take the sheep and go sell it for lots of food,” said Jack’s mother, so Jack did…………… He went through the wet old town. Finally he reached the new market.  “Any one want a sheep for money,” shouted Jack. An old man said, “Here’s a package with food in it “. Jack sprinted home with the package. He ripped the package open, there was a rusty old door handle. Jack’s mother got a bit demented at Jack. “You sold our only sheep?” she said, in a miserable heartbroken voice. Then Jack could hear a big pulsing thump. Jack looked out the window. “Pass the handle,” cried Jack. He put the handle on the ordinary wooden door. Jack opened the door, there was an elevator in there with only 4 floors. Jack slammed number one, it had a TV and a screen. The screen has a picture with a person holding the handle. Jack didn’t bother to do that, he went down really extremely and at high speed. He went to the castle and found the King and Queen. The next moment a dirty old smelly Oger came from the roof. Jack tripped over a shiny sharp sword. He picked it up and ended up fighting the Ogre. Jack got all the gold back. He ran to the elevator and there was a builder in there, he made a home button and this time he listened to the screen. He drifted home with a bruise on his thigh.

Dan and the Devil Kingdom                  Cooper McGregor
Once upon a time lived a Mum called Amethyst and a boy named Dan.  "Dan you have to  sell the pig!!" said Amethyst. Dan ran to the supermarket.  Before Dan got there a strong handsome man appeared.  "Give me that pig for these brown magic seeds" he said in a croaky voice.  The man vanished with the pig.  Dan sprinted home "Mum! Mum! I got seeds." Amethyst slammed the seeds out from his hand and out the window.  "Go to bed!" shouted Amethyst.  In six hours Dan suddenly awoke "What is that?" Dan whispered.  He looked out the window wiping his eyes.  He saw a hole with stairs. I'm going to search for anything in the hole.  Crack, crumble.  "These stairs are broken"  said Dan.  Finally Dan reached the bottom.  Dan froze in amazement "A fiery diamond, emerald, lava ruby Kingdom" said Dan.  He sneaked in the kingdom.  Dan heard a noise "You're in great danger" said a skeleton.. Dan heard clip clop.  Dan ran to the ruby room, he hid behind some ruby stairs.  He saw a devil with blood red wings, blood red tail, and blood red everything.  The devil got a water spell.  "Blue as diamond, something sounded "Hokis Pokis" said the devil in an evil sounding voice. It made a water ball and one million diamonds, emeralds and rubies.  Dan swiftly went to grab the diamonds, emeralds and rubies.  The devil whacked Dan with his tail and all of the riches scattered on the ground except one.  The devil was about to eat him but Dan threw the ruby in the devils mouth.  The devil fell over.  Dan jumped and grabbed the jewelry and the spell book and ran up the stairs and the devil ran up the stairs too.  Dan was just faster than the devil.  The devil tripped on all of the stairs.  Crumble, Dan blocked the hole up. "Dan it's good to see you" cried Amethyst.  "I got a spell book and one million jewels" exclaimed Dan.  "Good because I bought a gold, emerald, diamond, ruby and amethyst home."  said Amethyst.  What is happening the ground is shaking.  The house shattered because of a giant devil "Stop" shouted the devil.  "You shouldn't steal my things.  You should say please if you want to get something. So give me my stuff back!" "We already sold it" said Dan.  Dan gave the most he could back to the devil.  It went back to normal but Dan had a Kingdom.

Come quickly, the volcano is erupting!"  He grabbed the carriage and ran to the well.  Then he got buckets of water and got lots of food.  The mother got the horse and led the horse to the carriage.  Suddenly the horse reared up as the volcano erupted.  They got in the carriage.  Jack whipped the horse and they were off.  They lived happily ever after.

Jack and the Big Egg  Ruth Vaughan
Once upon a time there was a baby named Jack.  His family was rich but one day when their Dad went out fishing he did not return.  He got eaten by something big that lives in the sky (along with all the money).  Jack didn't know of this.
When Jack grew up his Mum said "You have to sell our only cow."  The cow was Jack's friend.  "OK" said Jack sadly.  When he got to the market an old lady mumbled "I will give you an egg for the cow."  Jack didn't think that he could trust the old woman but he took the egg.  When Jack got home he did not show the egg to his Mum, he hid it under his bed.  Then Jack set out to find the materials for the nest for the egg.  It was getting dark by the time he got home.  His Mum was relieved that he was now home.  "It's dinner time Jack."  called Jack's Mum.  Jack was up in his dusty room.  He had made the nest and had put the egg in it.  Then he went down for dinner.  When he looked at the egg next, it looked a very peculiar shape.  In the morning there was something quacking like mad!  The sound came from under his bed.  When he looked there was an adult goose.  Jack hopped on the goose.  It was clever.  It opened the window and out it shot with Jack on it's back!  Jack's mother poked her head out of the window.  She saw Jack on the giant goose and said "What in the world are you doing?"  When the goose landed, Jack found himself on another land.  He saw a woman giant.  Jack said he was poor so she gave him 100 pounds.  Jack said 'Thank you" and swooped down on the goose.  Each day Jack went to the woman giants house and she gave him 100 pounds.  One day Jack came to the giant's house and the man giant was there.  The giant almost spotted Jack but he escaped.  Jack leapt on the goose and they flew away.  Jack caught a glimpse of the man giant.  He had boils on his nose, he looked horrible!  When Jack got home he saw the window over flowing with money.  Jack saw his Mum pushing her was through the money.  She finally made it to the door and said "We can't have any more money, we have not places to store it."  Jack had an idea.  He could give 3 quarters of the money to the town and so he did.  Every one said thank you.

Jaxton and the Beanstalk  by Jaxton
Jaxton’s mum was complaining about no food in the cupboard so Jaxton sprinted down the hallway to see what was going on. Jaxton had an idea so he sold his cow for a good price. He bumped into a man who was magic. He gave the boy a magic bean. Jaxton ran home to tell his mum what he got. His mum slapped the bean out of his hand. In the morning Jaxton saw a massive light green clinging against his window. He got dressed and climbed through his window and climbed the beanstalk. When he got to the top, he saw an old man. The wicked old man said his name twice in a row so Jaxton went over to see him. First he saw a golden castle, he went into it. Jaxton saw a giant with a hen. His name was Tony Grigg. “That man is my father,” said Jaxton. He stole everything from him. When his father was asleep he stole the hen that laid golden eggs and brought it home. When he got home he told his mother, “I got some golden eggs that came out of a chicken.” They told it to lay every day and they stayed home happily ever after.

Joseph and the Cart Ride  by Cory H
“Where did all the food go?” Joseph’s mum cried. “Joseph go sell our pig right now!” “But I love that pig”, Joseph whined. “Do it right this instant”. Joseph walked off emotionally. He saw a genie. The genie said “I can turn that pig into a floating quilt and I will give you an electronic bean. If this bean goes on grass it will turn into a cart ride but the floating quilt is the craft”. One hour later Joseph got back to his old rusty house. He showed his sad mum the electronic bean. “What!!! I told you to get money not a stupid bean!!!” As she threw the beans out the door she was telling Joseph off. The next day he woke up and looked out the window. It looked unusual and he realised why, the cart ride was out there! The old wrinkly genie was right. “I better get the floating quilt! Joseph zoomed to the start of the electronic track. He jumped on the cart, or I should say floating carpet. Joseph was hoping that it wouldn’t work. It was a mystery. He thought the old man was nuts. When Joseph was half way he felt sick. When he got to the end of the cart ride, Joseph was thirsty and hungry. When he turned around he saw a castle. It was as tall as a sky scraper. Joseph went in the castle. He knew it was wrong but he didn’t want to starve to death! So he tiptoed in the castle and as soon as he got in he realised that it was a giant’s castle!!! Joseph was terrified. Joseph had to find money in there. But instead he searched and searched then he found a giant sleeping. Joseph tried to not scream but he let it out!!! The giant thought it was the alarm to wake up to have breakfast so Joseph hid behind a goose. The giant took the goose and said, lay! Then the goose laid a golden egg. The giant was still tired so he went to bed. Joseph took the goose and got on the cart to get home. The giant woke up again and he saw no goose so he went down the track of the cart and he slipped. No one saw him ever again. The end.

Jack and the Stormy Night  by Josina
“Mum where is the gold!” Here is a story about Jack and the stormy night. Once there was a boy named Jack, he was rich and famous. They could even buy a bus. He and his mother had a very happy life. The mother was so greedy that she said, “Go sell that diamond for 100 dollars and make sure that you do not bring back some seeds”. Jack went to the wet and crowed market. “Diamonds, diamonds, come get some diamonds” called out Jack. Just then an old lady came along and said “I’ll give you this golden flower for that diamond”. “OK I guess”. Jack scrambled home. “Mum, mum guess what I got?” “What?” “It is a flower - small, golden, strong and it makes money”. Jack’s mum was surprised, now it looked like a rotten flower. Jack’s mum tore it out and threw it out the window. “Do you call that golden, strong and a money maker?” “No” replied Jack in an anxious voice. That night was stormy. There was flooding, thunder and a horrific mess. The next day Jack woke up early to a golden flower. “What happened?” He scrambled outside. “Where is the gold?” yelled Jack “and what is that?” He went back inside. Jack searched high and low trying to find some glue and rope. Finally he found some. Jack scrambled outside and climbed the sun flower that he’d never seen before. There on the top of the cloud was a castle and in the castle was a Queen, King and a giant. He took a look around and right in front of Jack was his gold. He collected all the gold and scrambled down the sun flower. When he reached the ground he chopped the flower down. Jack’s mum woke up to a terrible fright. “Where is Jack?!!!” Jack’s mum ran around the house screaming, “Jack, Jack, where are you?” Later that day Jack came down to see his mother in distress. Just then his mother ran to him and whispered “Where have you been? I was deadly worried about you”. He and his mother sat down to talk about what he did. After a little while he and his mother felt right asleep.

Underwater Whale Island             By Ciara McLellan
“Oh no! There is nothing in the cupboard, what am I going to do?” Jessica scrambled into the living room at her Mother’s complaint. “Mother, mother what is all the fuss about?” Jessica’s mother told her about having to sell the chicken, and Jessica screamed and said to her mother that she could not make Jessica sell her beautiful snow white chicken that layed snow white eggs. But she had to and the next day she set off to find someone to sell it to.
Bang! Crash! Shocked, Jessica froze and slowly started to turn around trying to find out where all the noise had come from. When she turned to the East she saw an old man standing there with a black robe on. The old man said “I will give you this magic toy whale in exchange for your beautiful chicken”. “Oh yes please!” yelled Jessica. Jessica adored whales. Jessica quickly took the whale off the old man’s hand and gave the man the beautiful white chicken.
When Jessica got home her mother asked if she had got any money and Jessica showed her mother the golden whale. “No, No, No!!!” shouted Jessica’s mother “it may be made of gold but it is not money!” Jessica was sent to her room without any supper and she nearly starved to death during the night.
The next day Jessica got up and went to the kitchen to get a crystal clear bowl of water for her golden whale! Amethysts and sapphires filled her room along with diamonds, emeralds and rubies . A golden whale would look good against all of her precious gems. Jessica’s mum screamed at her right there and then while she was carrying the crystal clear water up the stairs to her room. “Jessica, what are you doing?” Jessica didn’t answer her furious mother and pulled the bowl up the stairs to her room.
The next day Jessica woke to a whistle like noise and she realised that it was her golden whale! “Wow,” Jessica thought when she saw that the whale was growing bigger and that it was making the whistle like noise. She quickly slipped outside and staggered to the beach.
When she got to the beach she carefully tipped the whale out of the bowl and into the sea. At that moment Jessica became under water with the golden whale. There she saw loads of whales and then saw that they were surrounding a bigger, much larger, whale. Then she realised that it looked like a Queen whale! While she patted the whale she saw that there was a shark tooth mark on the side. Quickly she swam to the Queen whale and examined the wound.
Back at home the last couple of hours worrying about the golden whale disturbed Jessica while trying to get to sleep. She had left the golden whale in the sea where she could visit him every day. She just couldn’t stop worrying about him! Boy, Oh Boy! She needed some sleep.
The next morning it was pouring with rain. She didn’t even sleep a wink! She was very tired but she still went out and walked towards the beach in her togs, ready to swim out to sea, but nerves made bones in her body crack and screech while she walked. She was furious with herself that she had got out of the house without her mother knowing she was gone.
When she got to the beach she got into the ice cold sea. It togs, she was freezing cold and thought that her feet might come off in a clump. But luckily they didn’t! She swam into the deep part of the sea and there she saw the path. She followed it knowing that this was the right way.
When Jessica got to the whale camp, she was exhausted and needed a rest. Soon she was in a tip top condition and went to see how the wounded Queen was. Jessica found the beautiful whale Queen in her coral palace. Jessica settled into a chair and bowed to the Queen and then settled down in the pearl chair again. After talking to the Queen she started to soothe the wound with a piece of coral reef, then the wound finally began to close in around her middle. When she was healed, Jessica swam up to the golden whale and hugged him tight. Before leaving him she said her goodbyes and then swam back to shore.
As she walked  Jessica was wet, cold and tired. She just wanted to go to sleep back in her warm and cosy bedroom.
When she got home, Jessica quickly took off her togs, and then went running up the stairs to her room.
When Jessica got into her room, she saw that her mother was coming up the stairs in the direction of Jessicas room. Durn the night Jessica was dreaming happily of being a whale herself, and they lived happily ever after.

Jacks mum complained and said “go to your bedroom”. The next day Jacks bedroom was darker than usual. When he looked more closely a big mysterious sculpture appeared. When Jack got outside he climbed but the sculpture just shock him off. Jack said “look this mysterious sculpture is filled of different things” When he was rubbing his eyes in terror, the mysterious sculpture said “crack the code”. When Jacked looked down at the surface he had a fear! Jack looked in front of him, there was an unusual kingdom. Jack pounded on the door. After Jack pounded a few times someone came out of the door and said “who’s there” in a rumbling voice. He was humongous. Jack crept through the giants hairy legs. Jack was amazed at how rich this giant was. The giant sat down and said “servants get me my hanglider” in a demanding voice. The giant said “glide” the hanglider took off and had a booming beat the made the giant go to sleep. Jack crept and crawled from his hiding place in the hanglider. Jack got the hanglider and zoomed off the table and down the mysterious sculpture to the surface. When Jack got back home he scrambled to his mother. Jack and the Red and Yellow Brick Road   by Lucy

Once upon a time there lived a mother and a son Jack. They lived in a little cottage on the hill top. They were very poor. One day they were so poor that they had to sell their one and only cow. So his mother sent him off. Jack usually went down the yellow brick road but this time Jack went down the red one. Along the way he met this mysterious old woman and she said “keep walking down this red brick road and you will find the giants castle! In exchange give me the cow” and she vanished. When Jack got home he said “I sold the cow” how much did you get for it?” asked Jacks mum, “directions to the giants castle” said Jack. “What! Get to your room!!!!!” Jack sadly stomped into his room. The next day when Jack woke up the sun was shining on the red brick road. He leaped out of his window and skipped all the way down the red brick road. When he got to the giants castle, Jack pushed and pulled but the steel door just wouldn’t open. The next day the door magically opened. BOOM!!! Went the giants footsteps “I smell the blood of Englishman” roared the giant. Then the doors began to shut, Jack quickly scurried in the gates. When he was in, he saw golden vases, silver sculptures and chickens laying diamond eggs. “Wow” Jack said to himself. STOMP, STOMP, the giant was stomping down the hall, Jack ran into the kitchen. Oops the giants wife was in there. Jack ran into the oven, after a few hours he quickly leapt out. “Boo” went the giant, “I’ve got ya now”. The next day Jack woke up in a pile of rotten eggs, bananas and lots more (also known as the giant’s rubbish bin). “Oooooowww,”Jack screamed in fear. He quickly jumped out of the rubbish bin and ran right back to the entrance. He stole one of the golden vases, one of the silver sculptures and one of the chickens laying diamond eggs. He quickly leapt out of the steel gates and ran back down the red brick road. When Jack got back home he saw his mother crying her eyes out in the window. “Mum, mum” shouted Jack “I’m home from the giants castle and look what I bought back”. When Jack got inside his mother fainted because of the things he had bought back from the giants castle. They lived happily ever after.

Jason and the Poor                             By Ollie Gabites
Once there was a charming boy named Jason and his wicked and despicable mother. They were so rich they owned 98 candy stores! One day Jason’s mum (whose name was Rose) was counting money while Jason sadly thought about the poor people. He went for a walk to cheer himself up. He hadn’t gone far when an old man stopped him, “Hello Jason” said the crooked man. “How do you know my name?” asked Jason surprised (but he didn’t say). Instead he gave Jason a shiny red button and a shiny diamond ring. “Give this ring to your mother and give this button to the poor but tell them to put it in something”. And with those words, the old man vanished. A few days later Jason asked his mother if he could visit the poor. “Nooooo” screeched his mother. But Jason had a plan. “But I want to tease them” said Jason. “Sure then” said his mother because she was cruel. Soon Jason was at the village. He gave them the button. One of the poor people pushed the button and money poured down on the village. Yipee, the village was so happy. When Jason got home he gave his mother the ring. She snatched it out of Jason’s hand without saying thank you. When Jason’s mum put the ring on she turned good.

Jack and the Golden Beach                                          By Lincoln Wilson
Hey, my name is Jack. Have you ever had a beach full of gold coins?
Once upon a time there was a boy called Jack. His mother said, “Go sell that cow!” Then off Jack went. He saw a man in a black coat who mumbled, “I’ll buy that cow for a magic sea shell.” “No,” said Jack, “My mum needs a pot of sparkling gold”. “I can do better than that,” replied the man. “This shell gives you a beach full of gold and the water is blue magic gems,” whispered the man. “Why do I have a hard time believing you?” screamed Jack.  “Weeell….. just because you should”. Jack screamed, “I’ll take it”. So then he went home and showed his mother and she screamed ferociously, “Where’s my gold? You fool”. She chucked it out the window. The next morning Jack looked out the sparkly window and he saw a crinkly beach full of gold and wonderful gems. Jack gasped, “Hoooooooooo Oh my goodness. I love It”.
Then Jack went outside and played in the gold coins. Then he lent 100 dollars to everyone in the village. They lived rich ever after.
